Position: Senior Manager, Strategic Planning & Market Intelligence
Report to Chief Strategy Officer

Position Overview
As the Senior Manager, Strategic Planning & Market Intelligence the position will organize and implement Company's regional strategic planning process to allocate resources to high-priority projects and initiatives across North America and select international markets. the position will also lead efforts collect and disseminate market intelligence to internal business units, and help to turn this data into actions that create value for the company.

Primary role is the coordination and leading Company's internal regional planning process to determine company priorities in select Power and Gas markets.
Establish process to collect and disseminate market insights to business unit leaders, and lead efforts to translate data into actionable tactics and strategies.
Create, communicate and maintain actionable database of competitive intelligence, with focus on establishing and keeping current analysis of Company's competitive position in the market.
Support Development team to ensure Company incorporates latest market intelligence.
Help to execute on regional strategies, including assisting in power sales, development and M&A initiatives, as required.
Conducts complex economic analysis and forecasting for projects and identifies gaps and discrepancies.
May be involved in other work within the department including supporting risk, compliance and ethics activities, review of business cases and presented to the Officers and Directors.
Performs complex research, analysis, and develops recommendations.
Conducts and integrates complex trending and analysis of operating, maintenance, and investment metrics with asset strategies.

Required Skills
A BS or BA from an engineering or economics.  A master’s degree or MBA is a plus.
5-10 years’ work experience in the Power and Gas industry.
Self-starter with deep power development and power & gas markets expertise with a desire to translate data into immediate, actionable tactics and strategies.
Demonstrated expertise originating, developing and/or investing in a range of power project development opportunities and/or experience with power & gas marketing, M&A and strategic planning.
Strong organizational, networking, leadership and time management skills.
Excellent public speaking, relationship-building, interpersonal skills.
Ability to write effective, concise reports.
