Our client is looking to fill a newly created Revenue Supervisor position.  This will be a very hands-on role with the opportunity to hire a team member before end of year. 


Revenue Accounting Supervisor

Responsibilities and Expectations:

  • Accurate and timely bookings and reporting of revenues
  • Validate production data; verification of pricing
  • Analyze sales volume determinations, meter volume data
  • Support Regulatory and ONRR reporting requirements and inquiries as needed
  • Prepare assigned account reconciliations (revenue, royalty, expenses, and receivables)
  • Analyze and resolve outstanding account balances
  • Prepare revenue-related journal entries
  • Process various types of invoices for payment, including transportation and cash out invoices
  • Assist in internal / external audits and take part in special projects as necessary
  • Follow all internal audit/SOX controls established for revenue accounting
  • Additional duties as assigned, including potential simultaneous multiple projects


Highly Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ten (10) years of oil and gas offshore/onshore revenue accounting experience required.
  • Six (6) years of general accounting experience
  • Prior revenue recognition experience in a fast paced organization
  • Advanced proficiency with MS Excel (pivot tables/lookup function)
  • Intermediate proficiency in MS Word
  • High attention towards detail and accounting analysis
  • Strong Oil & Gas System experience (Bolo, Excalibur, OGSYS or Enertia)
  • General knowledge of revenue distribution process
  • Working knowledge of plant and pipeline statements
  • Working knowledge of gas balancing and pricing
  • Self-motivated, self-driven and with willingness to work in challenging environments
  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Work effectively as a member of a team
  • Flexible with changing priorities

Minimum requirements:

•  Bachelor's - Accounting / Finance
•  Experience:5+ years

Preferred Qualifications:


•  Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
•  Master's - Business Administration
•  Master's - Accounting / Finance
