Base Salary: $115,000 - $180,000 +++

Technology Manager (Chemical Business Team)
Of primary interest is experience in Olefins, Polyolefins, and Aromatics.

The Technology Manager provides broad strategic direction in the application of innovative technologies and market oriented solutions. Will have a thorough understanding of process technologies, competitive technologies, business drivers, cost drivers, and chemicals markets and their dynamics with detailed understanding of customer applications and requirements. Must have demonstrated value creation in technology leadership roles. Must have expert knowledge of polymer characterization methods and structure/property relationships.

Principle responsibilities include:

Develop technology application/innovation strategies for the Companys Chemicals Business;
Structure and develop Chemicals R&D functions and organization, seeking synergistic collaborations with existing company R&D;
Partner with Chemicals Business to assure market needs are driving technology prioritization;
Lead development of new products and new applications for existing products;
Establish and maintain an effective process for new product development, with a total systems approach to solving technical challenges;
Develop and maintain optimized processes for Product Specification and Change Management;
Provide technical support to manufacturing where necessary;
Create physical property and processing data for new or existing products to support sales;
Prepare technical papers/presentations and conduct technical training for customers and company personnel;
Support product launch efforts in coordination with sales and marketing team;
Train future leaders and experts in all aspects of the position.

Minimum Requirements:
BS in Chemical Engineering. An MS or PhD is preferred.
Minimum of 8 years of technology leadership, plus 10 years in related chemicals business, manufacturing, or technology roles; international and due diligence experience a plus
